ACCESS 2011 - The Almaguin Community Committee To Enhance our Secondary School

The new Almaguin Highlands Secondary School (AHSS) is open and ready to receive students in its new location, just north and west of its current location. ACCESS 2011 is the Almaguin Community Committee for Enhancing our Secondary School, and we want the new AHSS to be the  best possible.

The winner of the canoe is Wes Newburn of Sundridge, Ontario. Congratulations Wes!
Thanks to all who purchased tickets. The proceeds from this raffle will be going towards the purchase of the theatre seating in our cafetorium.

Over this past summer, the employees of the Royal Bank in Sundridge coordinated a barbeque lunch each Friday, with all proceeds going directly to ACCESS 2011 and the theatre seating. With the barbeques, they raised $2,800! The employees topped up the fund to an even $3,000 and gave ACCESS 2011 a cheque on Sept. 23. Thanks to community sponsors like the RBC for their donations. Every little bit counts.
